Inauguration of Destitute Care centre in St. Mary’s Hospital Malur

November 16th 2022, marks another significant event in the Annals of St. Mary’s Hospital Malur. The dream of commencing a unit for the care of the sick destitute in this hospital collaboration with Dream India network becomes a reality on this day. This Initiative aims to create safer and inclusive environments for the neglected and uncared sick and ailing. It is in partnership with Dream India Network which operates with the motto “If you have a Dream, we have a Plan. If you have a Plan, we have a Platform” and the  Vision to see ‘Realization of a just society by upholding human dignity, equality and harmony’. Definitely it is considered as a privileged opportunity to participate in the ministry of Jesus who said I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’

Proverbs says, Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established. God promises us that he has plans for us that are of a good future with hope. To mark the official opening of this sick destitute care unit  Rev. Fr. Edward the founder director, Vendor and advisor of Dream India Net work, Dr. Saju Paracka, The CEO of the DIN, Sr. Elsy George the Province animator, Dr. Sr. Perpatua, the Medical superintendent, Sr. Licy Joseph the finance administrator of the Hospital and  Rev. Fr. James Thomas  the Parish Priest  lighted the Kuthuvilakku. Sr. Elsy George the Province animator cut the ribbon which symbolizes anticipation with the promise of fruitfulness in our endeavors. Rev. Fr. James Thomas, the Parish Priest  blessed this new initiative and the area set for the same.
